The Snowman is leaning heavily toward the Democratic side, especially since Republican presidential nominee John McCain chose Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate.
"I like Joe [Biden] a little bit better than Sarah," Jeezy said recently. "I understand she's the soccer mom and all that, and that's good. But if something happens to McCain, then what? Do you want a soccer mom to run the country? That's cool. I mean, she can run the house, though. I like Joe, though. Definitely. You got to be tough. I mean, I'm definitely not saying anything against what women do, but at the same time, Joe's firm, Barack [Obama]'s firm. They're straight to the point. They don't beat around the bush. Both parties can do the job, but if I had my pick, I'm definitely going with Joe and Barack. Too much more serious things going on."
One of those things is the nationwide economic crisis — Jeezy named his album to reflect the nation's current monetary difficulties.
It felt like two different shows playing side by side on a split screen. Biden was debating policy, talking specifics: of what was done wrong in the present administration, what an Obama adminstration would do differently. Palin relied on a small number of tactics: folksy speech (heck of a lot, darn right, John said That's where I wanchuh, dropped g's), references to her daily life, and repetition of a few mantras: government is bad (folksily phrased as dialogue: "Sayin' government, yknow you're not the solution"), John can win wars, Democrats will raise taxes, John is a maverick).
She was ready with a cover for not being able to answer questions: "I may not answer the way you want but I'm gonna talk straight." I'm wondering if commentators will pick up on any of her mis-speaks; one that sticks in my mind was: "John McCain is the man we need to leave. uh lead.
Palin pushed her "track record of reform" and said she and McCain are a " team of mavericks."
Biden called current Vice President Dick Cheney "one of the most dangerous vice presidents."
Biden said he would serve a different role than Cheney if Obama was elected president.
"I would not be the president," said Biden. "But I would be there to give advice."

"This is a moment of national crisis, and today's inaction in Congress as well as the angry and hyper-partisan statement released by the McCain campaign are exactly why the American people are disgusted with Washington," the Obama-Biden campaign said in a statement released shortly after the vote.
