In some states, what you wear to the voting booth could determine whether you are allowed to vote or be sent home to change.
Early Voting Report as of 10/22/08
Dear John...
Anti-robocall robocall
Process and substance have basically merged in this race, with the biggest black mark on McCain's record apparently his political moves a few weeks ago.
And now Obama's out with a robocall attacking McCain's attack robocalls. TPM hasthe Wisconsin version (.wav):
"I live in Green Bay and, like you, I've been getting sleazy phone calls and mail from John McCain and his supporters viciously -- and falsely -- attacking Barack Obama," says the caller. "I used to support John McCain because he honorably served our country -- but this year he's running a dishonorable campaign. We know McCain will continue many of Bush's policies, and now he's using George Bush's divisive tactics. In fact, he hired the Bush strategists whose attacks even McCain once called hateful."

OBAMA RECEIVES ENDORSEMENT FROM COLIN POWEL
This morning 10/19/08, on "Meet The Press". Citing the calmness and the "steady hand" of Barack Obama during our current financial crisis. His decision was also shaped by the increasingly negative campaign being run by McCain, citing his erratic behavior and the continued references to Bill Ayers and his choice of an unqualified running mate.

"Both parties can do the job, but if I had my pick, I'm definitely going with Joe and Barack"
By Shaheem Reid, with reporting by Jennifer VineyardThere's less than a month until Election Day, and Young Jeezy is still putting the word out for everyone to get to the polls this year. The Snowman is leaning heavily toward the Democratic side, especially since Republican presidential nominee John McCain chose Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate.
"I like Joe [Biden] a little bit better than Sarah," Jeezy said recently. "I understand she's the soccer mom and all that, and that's good. But if something happens to McCain, then what? Do you want a soccer mom to run the country? That's cool. I mean, she can run the house, though. I like Joe, though. Definitely. You got to be tough. I mean, I'm definitely not saying anything against what women do, but at the same time, Joe's firm, Barack [Obama]'s firm. They're straight to the point. They don't beat around the bush. Both parties can do the job, but if I had my pick, I'm definitely going with Joe and Barack. Too much more serious things going on."
One of those things is the nationwide economic crisis — Jeezy named his album to reflect the nation's current monetary difficulties.

It’s NOT the racial issues, stupid
“I’m hearing, ‘Oh, you know, he’s just not ready.’ I don’t know whether some of that has to do with his color. I think some of it does,” said Boscola, a veteran Democrat from Northampton County in the Lehigh Valley. “They say that they don’t trust him, and I don’t get it. What is it about him that’s bothering them? ... It has to be [about his race], because they’re trying to find an excuse.”
Take 2: Bailout(Rescue) Plan vote to take place this evening
Election Day isn't ahead of us -- it's already here!
Tomorrow is also the most important financial reporting deadline of the campaign. The resources we have on hand heading into October will decide the size of our voter registration and Get Out The Vote operations.
Will you make a donation of $30 or more? You'll receive a limited edition Election Day T-shirt before Friday, Oct. 17th.

With voting already under way, we're racing to register voters and get the high turnout we'll need to win.
What we do -- or don't do -- in these next 35 days will determine whether America gets the change we need or four more years of the same.
Thanks,
David
